Cecily strong
Cecily Legler Strong was born on February 8 1984. She is an American actor and comedian. Strong is best known for her work as a Saturday Night Live cast member from 2012 to 2022. She's also the longest-tenured woman on the show's past. Strong was performing the improv show in The Second City, Chicago at the time she completed her studies at CalArts. Then, she was employed by SNL. Her current role is a actress on the Apple TV+ musical comedy show Schmigadoon! (2021-present), which she also co-produces.
Her other roles include voice work on The Awesomes (2013-2015), supporting roles in films like Ghostbusters, The Meddler, and The Female Brain. In 2015 she was the host of the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Her first book, This Will All End Soon Soon was published by Random House in 2021.
She was nominated at the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Comedy Series and Saturday Night Live.
Childhood and early life
Strong was born and was raised in Springfield, Illinois. She is the daughter Penelope Strong and William "Bill" Strong, who both served as Associated Press bureau chiefs and, as of 2013, owned their own company for public relations. Penny Legler Strong, a nurse practitioner who has been employed in a variety of hospitals throughout the region and is now retired. Strong's parents were divorced. Strong was a fan of SNL with her mother when she was a child. She would reenact sketches with her companion and then watch the older SNL commercials on VHS. "I owned a tape with the best commercials that I used every day. She told me Phil Hartman had inspired her.
